Philadelphia police have issued an arrest warrant for 32-year-old Shakur Nichols, who is currently at large and sought in connection with a series of armed robberies across the city. Nichols is identified as the suspect armed with a handgun during an incident on August 28, 2026, where he and an accomplice robbed a victim at gunpoint on the 1200 block of Sansom Street in Center City. The suspects, dressed in black and wearing masks, fled in a dark gray Nissan Altima after stealing a diamond-encrusted watch and gold chains. Investigators located the vehicle and Nichols' sneakers at his home in South Philadelphia, leading to his initial detention and subsequent release pending the warrant. Authorities believe Nichols may also be linked to three other robberies, including a violent incident on August 23 along the 1500 block of Locust Street where victims were pistol-whipped and robbed. Police are working with the FBI Fugitive Taskforce to locate Nichols. The public is urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Tip Line at 215-686-TIPS (8477) with any information regarding his whereabouts.
