Chicago Police Department investigators are actively searching for two suspects wanted in connection with a series of armed robberies targeting women in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The incidents, which occurred over the past week, involve gunmen threatening victims at gunpoint and stealing jewelry. On Sunday afternoon, two separate attacks took place in the 2200 block of North Halsted Street and the 1800 block of North Larrabee Street. In the first incident around 3:33 p.m., a woman was forced to hand over her valuables before fleeing for help. Approximately twelve minutes later, a second woman was robbed of engagement rings and necklaces valued at more than $5,000. Police later recovered the second victim's phone at Oz Park, believing the suspects discarded it there. These Sunday attacks are linked to a robbery reported on Thursday, September 17, in the 300 block of West Webster Avenue, where a woman was threatened with a firearm during her break from work. Witnesses report that two men were involved in the crimes, utilizing a vehicle for transportation. Both suspects wore masks, but one was noted to have facial tattoos. The first suspect is described as a heavyset Black man, standing between 5-foot-10 and 5-foot-11, wearing a gray ski mask, black T-shirt, and black pants. The second suspect is described as a Black man of medium build, wearing a black mask and a dark hooded sweatshirt. No physical injuries were reported among the victims, though all were threatened with firearms. The public is urged to remain vigilant and contact Area 3 detectives at 312-744-8263 or submit anonymous tips via CPDTIP.com using reference number P26-3-030.
