NODAWAY COUNTY, MO — Law enforcement officials in Nodaway County have issued a warrant for the arrest of Dylan Ray Kelley, a 30-year-old resident of St. Joseph, Missouri. Kelley is currently at large and is wanted in connection with a series of theft incidents that occurred at a Walmart in Maryville over the course of several weeks in late August and September 2026. According to the probable cause statement filed by authorities, Kelley is facing multiple serious charges, including stealing over $750, second-degree burglary, driving while his license was revoked, and resisting arrest by fleeing from law enforcement. The alleged criminal activity began on August 31, when Kelley reportedly stole 20 items of merchandise valued at more than $1,300. A subsequent incident occurred on September 5, where Kelley attempted to steal merchandise worth $835.12 but abandoned the cart and left the store after being observed by employees. The pattern continued on September 14, when Kelley was seen concealing items on his person. Although he attempted to exit the store with nearly $50 worth of concealed goods, the total value of merchandise he tried to remove was $864.93, which was ultimately recovered by store staff. When law enforcement attempted to make contact with Kelley following these incidents, he fled the scene in his vehicle. A review of his driving record indicated that his license was revoked at the time of the incident, and he has multiple prior convictions on his record. Authorities have stated that bond is denied upon his arrest. The Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office is urging the public to remain vigilant and to report any information regarding Kelley’s whereabouts. Individuals with information are encouraged to contact the investigating agency immediately. Kelley remains a fugitive, and his capture is a priority for local law enforcement as they continue their search for the suspect involved in these repeated thefts and the subsequent flight from police.
