The Jay Police Department is currently searching for Chad Tracy, a 43-year-old man described as approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds, with red hair and a red goatee. Tracy is considered armed and dangerous and has multiple active warrants for his arrest. He is wanted in connection with a series of burglary complaints and a vehicle theft that occurred on Saturday along East Jay Road in Jay, Maine. According to the department's press release, officers responded to numerous complaints regarding burglaries and suspicious individuals in the area. During the incident, police allegedly observed Tracy stealing a vehicle. He subsequently used the stolen vehicle to ram a Jay police car as he attempted to flee the scene. Although the police vehicle was recovered shortly thereafter with assistance from surrounding agencies, Tracy managed to escape. Police later received reports that Tracy had stolen an all-terrain vehicle (ATV). Officers located the ATV and pursued Tracy into the Central Maine Power corridor, where he successfully evaded capture. Authorities are also seeking information regarding a light blue Audi Hatchback believed to be associated with the suspect. The vehicle may exhibit damage to the passenger-side front, with the bumper potentially held together by duct tape, and may display Maine Agricultural license plates. The Jay Police Department is urging the public to exercise extreme caution. Residents are instructed not to approach Tracy if spotted. Instead, they are asked to contact the Jay Police Department at 207-897-6766 or the Franklin County Dispatch Center’s non-emergency line at 207-778-6140 with any relevant information. In a separate but related development, police arrested 39-year-old Danielle Adams after tracking her with a K9 unit. Adams was taken into custody on multiple warrants and charged with possession of scheduled drugs. The investigation into Tracy's activities and the location of the stolen Audi continues.
