Authorities in Phoenix, Arizona, are actively searching for a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery that took place earlier this month. The incident occurred on the morning of September 5 at approximately 11 a.m. at a local convenience store. According to police reports, the suspect entered the establishment and pointed a firearm, held in his left hand, at an employee. He demanded money, and the employee complied with his demands before the suspect fled the scene. Surveillance footage captured the individual entering and exiting the store, providing investigators with critical visual evidence. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 30 years of age, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing around 180 pounds. He was wearing jeans, a dark shirt, and a distinctive hat featuring the cartoon character Marvin the Martian. Due to the unique nature of his headwear and the manner in which he held the weapon, authorities believe the public may be able to identify him. A reward of $1,000 has been offered by law enforcement for information that leads to the identification or arrest of the suspect. Investigators are urging anyone who recognizes the individual or has information regarding the crime to come forward. Residents are asked to contact the Phoenix Police Department by calling 480-WITNESS or by submitting tips anonymously through the SilentWitness.org portal. The investigation remains ongoing, and police continue to review evidence and canvass the area for additional witnesses. The convenience store and specific cross streets involved in the robbery have not been publicly disclosed at this time. This case is being treated as a serious felony, and authorities are emphasizing the potential danger posed by the armed individual. The public is advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or individuals matching the description to local law enforcement immediately.
