Newark Police are actively seeking the public's assistance in identifying three men wanted in connection with the armed robbery of a parking lot attendant. The incident took place on the morning of September 19, 2026, at approximately 4:47 a.m. at a J&L Parking facility located on Bruen Street near Edison Place in Newark, New Jersey. According to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., the three suspects arrived at the scene in a white Hyundai Sonata with New Jersey registration plate D57WZM. The vehicle parked near the attendant’s booth before the suspects initiated the crime. One individual approached the attendant under the pretense of requesting a phone charger. When the attendant indicated he did not have one, the suspect allegedly grabbed the attendant's parking lot keys and threw them to the ground. A second suspect then retrieved the keys while the first and a third accomplice physically seized the attendant by his hoodie, pulling him from the booth. During this struggle, the second suspect ransacked the booth and stole a small amount of money. The victim managed to escape the scene, and all three suspects fled southbound on Bruen Street in the white Hyundai. Authorities have provided descriptions of the suspects, noting they were wearing mostly dark clothing. One suspect was described as wearing a black jacket and dark gray sweatpants. Another was seen in a black hoodie, blue jeans, and a white mask. The third suspect wore a black jacket and light blue jeans. The investigating agency, the Newark Police Division, is urging anyone with information regarding the identities or location of these suspects to come forward. The public is asked to contact the 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS with any relevant details. These individuals remain at large as the investigation continues.
