The Shreveport Police Department, in conjunction with the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force, is seeking the arrest of Ashley Blundell, a former administrative assistant. Blundell is currently at large and wanted on charges of Access Device Fraud and Forgery following an extensive investigation into the alleged embezzlement of more than $743,000 from her former employer. The investigation began after company officials identified significant discrepancies in financial records. Detectives determined that Blundell utilized her position to gain substantial access to company financial operations, including invoices, accounts payable, expense statements, and company credit cards. Investigators allege that between 2024 and 2026, Blundell obtained a credit card in her own name on the company’s business account without authorization. During this period, approximately $586,488.70 in unauthorized charges were made using that card. Additionally, detectives allege that Blundell wrote multiple unauthorized checks from the company’s business account to herself, depositing the funds into her personal account. These transactions totaled approximately $156,806.29. The combined unauthorized credit card charges and checks resulted in an estimated total loss of $743,294.99. The investigation uncovered that the funds were used for a wide range of personal expenses, including airfare, lodging, clothing, jewelry, groceries, concert and sporting event tickets, furniture, vehicle repairs, medical and dental expenses, beauty and spa services, veterinary expenses, food delivery, rideshare services, tuition payments, and other personal purchases. Detectives obtained records from multiple businesses and financial institutions that connected Blundell to these unauthorized transactions. An arrest warrant has been obtained for Blundell under Louisiana Revised Statutes 14:70.4 for Access Device Fraud and 14:72 for Forgery. Her bond has been set at zero dollars. The Shreveport Police Department is urging anyone with information regarding Blundell’s whereabouts to contact them immediately. The incident occurred in Shreveport, Louisiana, with the alleged crimes spanning from 2024 to 2026. The suspect remains at large as of the publication date of September 28, 2026.
