Authorities in Maine are actively searching for 25-year-old Braylin Nunez of Lawrence, Massachusetts, who is currently at large following a significant drug investigation. The incident occurred on September 12 in Skowhegan, Maine, when Maine State Police troopers initiated a traffic stop of a Toyota Tacoma. During the stop, officers discovered approximately 354 grams of suspected crack cocaine inside the vehicle. While two other occupants, 57-year-old Ruth Crandall of Rockland and 26-year-old Taylor Meader of Sidney, remained at the scene and were subsequently arrested, Nunez fled the area before officers could apprehend him. A subsequent several-week investigation allowed troopers to identify Nunez as the individual who escaped. An arrest warrant has now been issued for Nunez, charging him with aggravated trafficking of a schedule W drug, aggravated furnishing of a schedule W drug, and refusal to submit to arrest or detention. Crandall and Meader face separate charges related to the drugs found in the vehicle, including unlawful furnishing, possession, and trafficking. Maine State Police are urging the public to assist in locating Nunez. Individuals with any information regarding his whereabouts are asked to contact the Maine State Police immediately. To report tips, please call (207) 624-7076, extension 9, and specifically ask to speak with Trooper Jackson. The investigation remains active as law enforcement continues to seek the suspect's arrest.
