Maine State Police are actively seeking the arrest of Braylin Nunez, a 25-year-old man from Lawrence, Massachusetts. Nunez is currently at large and wanted on multiple serious drug-related charges following an incident that occurred on the evening of September 12, 2026, in Skowhegan, Maine. The warrant was issued after an investigation revealed that Nunez fled the scene during a routine traffic stop conducted by a Maine State Police trooper. According to officials, the trooper had stopped a silver 2021 Toyota Tacoma for a traffic violation in Skowhegan. Inside the vehicle were three individuals, including Nunez. During the investigation, Nunez chose to flee the scene, prompting authorities to search the vehicle and the remaining occupants. The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 354 grams of suspected crack cocaine. As a result of the incident, two other individuals were arrested and charged. Ruth Crandall, 57, of Rockland, Maine, was charged with unlawful furnishing and unlawful possession of a Schedule W drug. Taylor Meader, 26, of Sidney, Maine, was charged with unlawful trafficking of a Schedule W drug. Nunez, however, remains unaccounted for. He is charged with aggravated trafficking of a Schedule W drug, aggravated furnishing of a Schedule W drug, and refusal to submit to arrest or detention. The Maine State Police Central Field Troop Division has been conducting the investigation for several weeks to identify the suspect who fled. Authorities are urging the public to assist in locating Nunez. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact the Maine State Police Central Field Troop Division immediately. The public can call 207-624-7076, extension 9, and ask to speak with Trooper Jackson. This is an ongoing investigation, and the suspect is considered dangerous and at large. The community is reminded to exercise caution and report any sightings to law enforcement without attempting to intervene personally.
