Baltimore Police Department officers are actively searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a violent robbery that occurred Tuesday morning in the Fells Point neighborhood. The incident took place around 9:34 a.m. on the 1700 block of Fleet Street, where the suspect allegedly assaulted two elderly victims, a 60-year-old man and a 76-year-old woman. According to police reports, the man knocked both individuals to the ground before robbing them. The suspect fled the scene toward South Regester Street, taking the victims' wallet with him. The severity of the assault resulted in the woman sustaining life-threatening injuries, while the man is currently listed in stable condition. Police established a crime scene approximately three hours after the incident, citing the development and severity of the woman's injuries as the reason for the delayed response. Investigators have released a description of the suspect, noting he was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black sweatpants with white stripes down the sides. A good Samaritan reportedly located the victim's wallet on Regester Street shortly after the attack and turned it over to authorities; however, witnesses confirmed that no cash was inside. Local business owner Vikki Powers, who owns a deli near the scene, stated that the victims were regular patrons who had just finished breakfast when the attack occurred. Surveillance footage from the nearby market allegedly shows the suspect watching the couple before following them out. As of this report, no arrests have been announced. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the suspect's whereabouts or identity to contact the Baltimore Police Department. The investigation remains ongoing as police seek to apprehend the individual responsible for the assault and robbery.
