The Federal Bureau of Investigation has issued a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Julious George Khalid, a suspect wanted in connection with an armed kidnapping and extortion incident. Federal investigators allege that Khalid, along with at least two other individuals, impersonated law enforcement officers during the crime. The incident occurred on August 7 on Interstate 20 near Wesley Chapel Road in Georgia. According to the FBI, the suspects drove a vehicle that appeared to be an unmarked police car, complete with blue lights. They pulled over a driver, and when the victim did not exit the vehicle as instructed, the suspects brandished a firearm. They then placed the victim in handcuffs, forced him into the fake police vehicle, and stole a significant sum of money. The suspects were described as wearing police vests, belts, and masks to enhance their deception. Richard Bilson, the assistant special agent in charge of the FBI Atlanta criminal branch, confirmed the details of the investigation. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the other two suspects involved in the scheme, nor have they confirmed if the victim knew the group beforehand. The exact amount of money stolen remains undisclosed. Notably, FBI officials have identified Khalid as the same individual who appeared in a September 2023 interview with FOX 5 Atlanta as the president and founder of The Young Generation Movement, a nonprofit organization focused on youth wellness and entrepreneurship. The FBI describes Khalid as armed and dangerous. He is listed as 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 180 pounds. Investigators are urging anyone with information regarding Khalid's whereabouts to contact the FBI immediately by calling 911 or reaching out to the agency directly. The reward is offered to assist in locating the suspect and bringing him to justice for the violent crimes alleged.
