Maryland Heights Police are searching for 24-year-old Kaleek S. Harrington, who is currently at large following a violent incident on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Authorities have issued an at-large warrant for Harrington in connection with a shots-fired case and a subsequent high-speed vehicle pursuit. The incident began around 4:30 p.m. in Maryland Heights, where police report that shots were fired, escalating the situation into an officer-involved shooting. Following the initial confrontation, two suspects fled the scene, traveling northbound on Interstate 270 and then eastbound on Interstate 70. The vehicle involved in the chase eventually crashed just east of Interstate 270. While one suspect was apprehended and transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, Harrington escaped custody. Investigators focused their search on the Hermann Estates Drive area in Bridgeton on Thursday night. The St. Louis County Prosecutor’s Office has formally charged Harrington with first-degree assault against a special victim, unlawful possession of a firearm, leaving the scene of an accident, and aggravated fleeing and resisting or interfering with an arrest. Police have identified Harrington’s last known address as the 4200 block of West San Francisco Street. Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant but strictly advise against approaching, attempting to detain, or otherwise contacting Harrington due to the dangerous nature of the charges and the ongoing manhunt. Residents with any information regarding Harrington’s whereabouts are asked to contact the Maryland Heights Police Department immediately at 314-298-8700, extension 1, or dial 911 in an emergency.
