New York City detectives are actively searching for a suspect wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of Sulimon Ferrier, a 29-year-old father of four, in Jamaica, Queens. The incident occurred early Saturday morning, October 3, 2026, outside the Seduction Lounge and Bar on Jamaica Avenue. According to police and family statements, Ferrier was walking home with his father, Peter Ferrier, when a stranger approached them. The suspect allegedly made threatening remarks, stating he was not afraid of anyone and intended to kill everyone, before attacking Sulimon from behind. The victim was stabbed multiple times in the chest and back. His mother, Cynthia Ferrier, witnessed the attack and attempted to intervene, trying to pull the weapon away from the assailant and later applying pressure to Ferrier's wounds in an attempt to stop the bleeding before he succumbed to his injuries. Witnesses reported that the suspect fled the scene on foot. However, investigators have identified a white pickup truck associated with the suspect, who was reportedly traveling with another individual at the time of the crime. Detectives are currently examining the vehicle for evidence. The Ferrier family, originally from Guyana, has described Sulimon as the heart of the family. While expressing profound grief, Cynthia Ferrier stated she forgives the attacker but emphasized the need for justice. The NYPD is urging anyone with information regarding the suspect's identity or location to contact authorities. The case remains under active investigation as the manhunt continues.
