Stamford police are actively seeking the public's assistance in locating Damani Morales, a 27-year-old man who remains at large. Morales is wanted on an active warrant for first-degree escape. The search follows an incident that occurred on September 22, where officers attempted to take Morales into custody in the area of Richmond Hill and Rose Park avenues. During the encounter, Morales fled from law enforcement and hid inside a multifamily home, which is believed to be the residence of a relative. The occupants of the building denied police entry, allowing Morales to escape while officers were in the process of obtaining a search warrant and establishing a perimeter. The Stamford Police Department identified Morales through a Facebook post on Monday, highlighting his extensive arrest history. Authorities emphasize that Morales is currently at large and pose a potential risk to the community. The public is urged to remain vigilant and report any information regarding his whereabouts. This ongoing manhunt underscores the urgency of the situation as law enforcement continues to track the fugitive. Residents in the Stamford area are advised to exercise caution and notify authorities immediately if they suspect they have seen Morales. The investigation is ongoing, and police are working diligently to apprehend the suspect. No further details regarding Morales' current location have been released at this time. The Stamford Police Department continues to appeal to the public for help in bringing Morales to justice.
