Lynnwood police are searching for multiple suspects wanted in connection with a violent attempted armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Medina Jewelers. The incident took place at 12:26 p.m. at 6501 196th Street Southwest in Lynnwood, Washington. According to law enforcement, a group of masked suspects arrived at the jewelry store in multiple vehicles, including a pickup truck and a black BMW SUV. Surveillance video captured the suspects driving in circles around the parking lot before the pickup truck rammed into the front entrance of the store, shattering glass and sending employees and customers fleeing for safety. The suspects, some armed with weapons including what appeared to be an axe, attempted to enter the store through the breach. The store owner responded by firing shots at the intruders, causing the suspects to flee the scene in two vehicles: a black BMW SUV and a silver Toyota or Infiniti sedan. Police note that the black BMW struck a parked vehicle while fleeing and may have visible damage to its front passenger side. It remains unknown whether any of the suspects were struck by gunfire, though no employees or customers were injured. Commander Joe Dickenson of the Lynnwood Police Department described the event as a rare and alarming occurrence in the community. Authorities are currently reviewing surveillance footage and are appealing to the public for assistance. Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the robbery, has video of the suspects or the getaway vehicles, or has information regarding the crime to contact the Lynnwood Police Department. Tips can be submitted via email to crimetips@lynnwoodwa.gov. The suspects remain at large as the investigation continues.
