Law enforcement officials in Multnomah County, Oregon, are urgently seeking the public's assistance in locating eight men who remain at large in connection with a major child sex trafficking investigation. The suspects are wanted on outstanding warrants related to the sexual exploitation of a minor between the ages of 13 and 17. This case is part of a broader investigation that has resulted in charges against 32 men, with eight already convicted and sentenced, while authorities anticipate additional charges in the near future. The investigation, led by the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office and the Portland Police Bureau’s Human Trafficking Unit, began in late 2023 but traces the abuse back to 2020. Primary organizers Domonique Williams and Kai’Leif Newcomb have already been sentenced to 19 and 15 years in prison, respectively, for their roles in grooming and trafficking the victim. The remaining eight wanted suspects are alleged buyers who have not yet been apprehended. Detectives initially focused their efforts on 82nd Avenue in Portland before expanding the scope of the operation. Senior Deputy District Attorney J.R. Ujifusa praised the courage of the victim, who came forward after significant trauma, and emphasized the severity of the crimes committed against her. Portland Police Sgt. Onest Robert highlighted a concerning surge in juvenile trafficking cases in the area, noting that traffickers often target children between the ages of 13 and 15 and operate both on the streets and online. The community is urged to remain vigilant for warning signs such as frequent running away, association with older individuals, or sudden behavioral changes. Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the eight wanted men to contact the Portland Police Bureau’s non-emergency line at 503-823-3333 or dial 911 for emergencies. For confidential support, victims and survivors can contact Safety Compass, a 24/7 advocacy service.
