The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is seeking 17-year-old Henry Thomas Watts II, who is currently at large following a dangerous incident at a Whataburger in Cantonment, Florida. The suspect is wanted on multiple charges, including aggravated riot with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, improper exhibition of a firearm, and brawling or fighting. The incident occurred on September 4, shortly after a high school football game between the Tate High School Aggies and the Escambia Gators was played just over a mile away. According to law enforcement, a large crowd of juveniles had gathered in the parking lots of the Whataburger, a nearby Circle K, and the Ashley Medical Clinic following the event. During the gathering, Watts allegedly pulled a firearm from inside his jacket to engage in a fight. Sheriff Chip Simmons reported that Watts pointed the gun indiscriminately toward the crowded restaurant, which contained 20 to 30 people, and made no attempt to holster the weapon. Although the store manager heroically subdued Watts during the altercation, the suspect broke free and attempted to flee while still holding the firearm and pointing it at individuals. Security camera footage captures Watts attempting to run with the weapon in hand. Fortunately, no shots were fired, and no injuries were reported during the incident. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is urging the public to assist in locating Watts. Investigators are particularly interested in obtaining any video footage of the incident or information regarding the suspect's whereabouts. Members of the public with information are asked to contact the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office directly at (850) 436-9620 or to submit tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers at (850) 433-STOP. Authorities emphasize the seriousness of the charges and the potential danger posed by an armed individual at large in the community.
