The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for an armed and dangerous suspect following a deadly shooting incident that occurred early Saturday morning, October 10, 2026. The incident took place around 5 a.m. in the 6200 block of Binz Engleman Road in east Bexar County, Texas, outside a local hookah lounge. According to Sheriff Javier Salazar, two men broke away from a larger group gathered in the parking lot before shots were fired. Investigators believe the altercation may have originated over a woman. The shooting resulted in the death of a 33-year-old man, who was struck multiple times in the upper body, neck, and head and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities noted that the victim was found with a gun in his hand at the time of the incident. Additionally, a 37-year-old man was shot twice in the upper body while inside a vehicle on the opposite side of the building. He was transported to a hospital and was reported to be alert and talking as of the latest updates. The shooter fled the scene on foot. Sheriff Salazar described the suspect as wearing all white clothing and a bucket hat. Deputies detained six individuals for questioning, including some who were livestreaming the event. Investigators also received a report of a firearm discovered in a yard approximately 1.5 miles from the crime scene, though it remains unclear if this weapon is connected to the shooting. The suspect may have fled in that direction. No weapons were recovered at the immediate scene, leading officials to speculate that evidence was removed by a third party. The hookah lounge has a history of generating numerous calls for service, including several shootings over the past year. The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts to contact them. Tips can be submitted by calling 210-336-6000 or by emailing bcsotips@bexar.org. The investigation is ongoing, and the suspect remains at large.
