Philadelphia Police are actively searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a series of harassment and terrorizing incidents that occurred in the Center City area. The individual is described as a black male with a thin build, standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, and estimated to be between the ages of 16 and 20. Police report that the suspect was last seen wearing a distinctive Chucky doll-style Halloween face mask. The investigation centers on an incident that took place early Wednesday morning, starting around 5:18 a.m., where the suspect allegedly accosted multiple individuals over a nearly 20-minute period. Surveillance video captures the suspect chasing a female jogger near City Hall, during which he allegedly asked, "Are you ready to die?" The victim fled, sustaining a leg injury, and later confronted the suspect, kicking him in the chest before he fled the scene. Police Captain Jason Smith stated that while one victim has come forward, there are believed to be at least six people targeted during the incident. The suspect was observed holding a cellphone in his left hand and appeared to be filming the interactions for personal purposes. Authorities are currently scouring social media platforms for any related material to help identify the individual. If apprehended, the suspect faces multiple charges, including terroristic threats, harassment, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and intimidation. Police are urging anyone else who may have been victimized by this individual to come forward with information. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities attempt to locate the suspect, who is currently at large.
