Cincinnati police are actively searching for a suspect involved in a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Sunday, October 11, 2026, just after noon. The crash took place in the westbound lanes of Fort Washington Way, near the Freedom Center. According to reports, the incident was captured on dashcam video by a witness traveling in the area. The footage shows a silver, four-door Infiniti with a temporary tag in the upper right corner of the rear windshield traveling west. The vehicle reportedly moved faster than surrounding traffic before swerving into the center lane. Due to wet pavement conditions, the suspect's rear tires lost traction, causing the vehicle to fishtail into an SUV. The impact inflated the SUV's airbags and slammed the vehicle into a wall, causing significant front-end damage and turning the SUV to face the opposite direction. The driver of the SUV was uninjured, and police spoke with them at the scene. The suspect, however, fled the scene, continuing on Interstate 71 and crossing the Brent Spence Bridge. The witness who recorded the video expressed shock and concern for the victim, noting they continued driving to preserve the evidence. Police are urging anyone who was in the area and has dashcam footage, or who saw the silver Infiniti, to come forward. Investigators are asking the public to contact the Cincinnati Police Department directly or submit tips to Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040. The investigation is ongoing as authorities attempt to locate the driver and identify the vehicle.
