Conyers Police are actively searching for a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Thursday morning at a CVS Pharmacy situated at 1541 Georgia Highway 20 in Conyers. Law enforcement received a dispatch around 9:20 a.m. reporting that a white male in his 50s entered the establishment. The individual is described as having gray hair and was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt, blue jeans, glasses, and a West Virginia hat. He carried a black and gray Volcom backpack. Upon entering, the suspect approached the counter and handed a written note to the cashier. The note implied he possessed a firearm inside his backpack and was conducting a robbery. The cashier subsequently handed over the cash from the register, after which the suspect immediately exited the store on foot. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident. The suspect remains at large, and the investigation is ongoing. Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage and conducting interviews to locate the individual.
