Hawaii County authorities are actively searching for Jacob Daniel Baker, a 36-year-old man from Pahoa, who is wanted in connection with three separate homicides in the Puna district. Described as armed and extremely dangerous, Baker stands five feet nine inches tall, weighs approximately 190 pounds, and has short black hair with a distinctive tattoo under his left eye. The investigation began after the body of a 69-year-old man was discovered Monday evening in a cement pond near Railroad Avenue in Pahoa. Subsequent discoveries on Tuesday included a 79-year-old man found with blunt force trauma on Papaya Farms Road, and a second 69-year-old man located off Kalapana Kapoho Beach Road during a welfare check. While police have not yet established a motive, officials confirm that all three deaths are linked and that Baker is the primary suspect. The incidents span a roughly 19-mile radius across the Puna area, prompting a heightened alert for local residents. Law enforcement officials strongly advise the public to avoid approaching the suspect under any circumstances.
