The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is searching for 22-year-old Andrew Inghram, who is wanted in connection with the shooting of two dogs at a residence on the west side of Indianapolis. The incident occurred around midnight on September 24, 2026, on the 5200 block of West Washington Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a dead white Siberian Husky named Sasha on the living room floor and a second dog, Fendi, who was later euthanized due to severe injuries sustained in the shooting. Police recovered multiple shell casings and an S&W .40 caliber handgun from a vehicle parked at the home. Inghram’s mother, the owner of the dogs, reported that Inghram had asked for money for alcohol earlier that day. After she declined, she left the home briefly. Upon her return, she found Inghram distraught and informed that he had blacked out and realized he had shot the animals. Inghram reportedly made suicidal statements and instructed his mother to help bury Sasha. The mother noted that Inghram has been diagnosed with serotonin syndrome, post-traumatic trauma disorder, and anxiety, and expressed remorse for his actions. Charges were filed by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office on October 15, 2026, including two Level 6 felony counts for cruelty to an animal causing severe injury or death and killing a domestic animal. A warrant has been issued for Inghram’s arrest, but he remains at large. Police have not yet served the warrant and continue their efforts to locate the suspect. The investigating agency is the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office handled the filing of charges. The public is urged to contact law enforcement with any information regarding Inghram’s whereabouts.
