University of Washington Police Department is seeking a suspect linked to a homicide at Nordheim Court Apartments in Seattle. The suspect is described as a 25-30-year-old man, 5'6"-5'7" tall, with a slim build, black hair, and wearing a button-up shirt under a dark blue vest and blue jeans at the time of the incident. The homicide occurred Sunday night in the laundry room of building 7, where a death was reported at 10:20 p.m. The investigation shifted to homicide by 10:40 p.m. Nordheim Court, primarily housing international and graduate students, uses smartphone app-secured access. Police searched the area and asked residents to remain indoors overnight before lifting the request. The University of Washington has labeled the incident 'deeply distressing' and provided ongoing updates via UW Alert. Students expressed shock and hope the victim is not a fellow student.
