Milwaukee Police are actively searching for Timothy Taylor, a 39-year-old man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting incident that occurred on Thursday, October 8, 2026. Taylor is accused of shooting and killing 20-year-old Amaya Walls near the intersection of 42nd Street and Good Hope Road. The incident took place hours after officers had responded to a domestic violence complaint at a nearby residence. According to a criminal complaint, Walls had previously reported that Taylor threatened her life, choked her, and had access to a firearm. On the day of the shooting, Walls told police she feared for her safety after Taylor poured a drink on her at a gas station earlier that morning. After a confrontation at a home where Taylor allegedly threw a glass jar at Walls, he was heard on a phone call threatening to shoot the house and Walls. Surveillance video later captured Taylor chasing Walls as she attempted to seek help from a neighbor, firing three shots at point-blank range. Taylor then allegedly fired again at a second woman present, injuring her arm, before fleeing the scene in his vehicle. Walls died at the scene, while the second woman sustained a gunshot wound to the arm. Taylor faces severe felony charges, including first-degree intentional homicide, attempted first-degree intentional homicide, two counts of bail jumping, and misdemeanor battery with a domestic abuse modifier. Records indicate that Taylor had previously violated bail conditions in a separate domestic abuse case involving Walls by possessing a gun and contacting her on the day of the shooting. Investigators are urging anyone with information regarding Taylor's whereabouts to contact Milwaukee Police at (414) 935-7360. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (414) 224-Tips or through the P3 Tips program. The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to locate the suspect.
