The Federal Bureau of Investigation has placed former Hollywood executive Mary Carole McDonnell, 75, on its Most Wanted Fraudsters list, offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to her arrest and conviction. McDonnell is wanted on federal charges of bank fraud and aggravated identity theft. Authorities allege that she orchestrated a scheme in which she falsely presented herself as an heiress to the McDonnell aircraft family fortune to secure approximately $30 million from various financial institutions. The alleged fraud involved obtaining $14.7 million from a single bank between July 2017 and May 2018, with additional losses at other institutions bringing the total reported loss to roughly $30 million. The investigation centers on activities in Los Angeles and Orange counties in California. McDonnell previously ran Bellum Entertainment, a production company that ceased operations in 2017. Former employees have reported receiving bounced checks and experiencing payroll collapses, with some describing frantic efforts to deposit checks before banks closed. A federal arrest warrant for McDonnell has been outstanding since December 2018, and she was officially added to the FBI’s fraud list on October 14, 2026. Investigators believe McDonnell may currently be located in Dubai, although her exact whereabouts have not been publicly confirmed. The allegations against her remain unproven in court. Patrick Grandy, assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office, stated that authorities are working with international partners to locate her. The public is urged to contact the FBI with any information regarding her location by calling 1-800-CALL-FBI or submitting a tip online at tips.fbi.gov.
