Lackey, born on January 30, 2006, is described as a male standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He also bears a distinctive tattoo on his right forearm that reads “Loyalty for Life” accompanied by an angel. While one suspect, Deandre Moore, 18, of Park Avenue in Drexel, was taken into custody on Monday, October 19, with assistance from the Drexel Police Department and Burke County Sheriff’s Office, Lackey has not yet been apprehended. Moore is currently held at the Catawba County Detention Facility under no bond and faces charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. The Hickory Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Lackey. Individuals with information regarding his whereabouts are encouraged to contact the Hickory Police Department immediately.
