Metro Nashville Police homicide detectives are actively searching for a 23-year-old man, Jose Miguel Guardado-Aguilar, who is currently at large. Authorities allege that Guardado-Aguilar is responsible for the shooting deaths of 19-year-old Amir Landan Wilkerson and 18-year-old Jaime Valdez-Garcia, both residents of Alabaster, Alabama. The victims were discovered in a wooded area situated between the Lincoya Bay Apartments and Percy Priest Lake in the Nashville metropolitan area during April 2025. Investigators have classified Guardado-Aguilar as armed and dangerous and believe he may be affiliated with the MS-13 gang. While he has known ties to several locations outside of Tennessee, including Fort Smith, Arkansas, and multiple cities in Alabama such as Birmingham, Hoover, and Alabaster, law enforcement emphasizes that his last known location and the scene of the crime remain within the Nashville area. The first suspect in this case, 24-year-old Josue Daniel Hernandez-Moxje, was already apprehended and transferred to Nashville last June to face two homicide charges; he currently remains in custody at Metro Jail. Detectives are urging the public to remain vigilant and to report any information regarding Guardado-Aguilar’s whereabouts immediately. Individuals with tips are encouraged to contact Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463 or reach out to their local law enforcement agency directly. Police stress that any information, no matter how small, could be crucial in locating the suspect and bringing closure to the victims’ families. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to follow up on leads and canvass the area surrounding Percy Priest Lake.
