The Beaverton Police Department is actively seeking the public's assistance in locating a suspect involved in an attempted armed robbery that occurred early Tuesday morning, October 20, 2026. The incident took place at approximately 7:16 a.m. at a 7-Eleven convenience store located at 75 NW 158th Avenue in Beaverton, Oregon. According to police reports, the suspect, described as a thin male standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, entered the store wearing a black hoodie and black basketball shorts. Upon entering, the individual displayed a black handgun and demanded money from a store employee. The employee refused to comply with the suspect's demands, prompting the individual to flee the scene on foot. Responding patrol officers quickly established a perimeter around the area and conducted an extensive search for nearly two hours; however, the suspect was not located. Investigators have released a photograph of the suspect and are urging anyone who recognizes the individual or has information regarding his whereabouts to come forward. The suspect remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous.
