Authorities in Philadelphia continue to seek the suspect responsible for the fatal shooting of 77-year-old Uber driver Olatunji Bolaji on April 16, 2025. Bolaji was waiting for a passenger outside a restaurant in Center City when two individuals approached, engaged in a confrontation, and fired four shots. Surveillance footage captured the incident, showing Bolaji being struck in the head. He drove away before crashing into a light pole on Chestnut Street and later died from his injuries. His 22-year-old passenger, who was also shot three times, has since recovered. Investigators found 9 mm and 140 caliber shell casings at the scene. The Citizens Crime Commission, working with police, offers a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Despite over a year of investigation, the suspect remains at-large. Tips can be reported anonymously to the commission. The case remains active, with no arrests made to date.
