The chase proceeded eastbound onto the Dumbarton Bridge, where the suspect’s vehicle collided with an uninvolved motorist near the bridge’s midpoint and toll plaza. The pursuing officer sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment; the officer’s current condition has not been disclosed. No injuries were reported for the driver of the second vehicle. Following the collision, the suspect abandoned the scene and continues to evade capture.
