Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond is renewing his appeal for public assistance in locating Alfonso Mondragon, a fugitive accused of first-degree murder. Mondragon, 51, is wanted in connection with the death of his girlfriend, Shelley Huffman, which occurred on October 23, 2004, in Pryor, Oklahoma. Investigators state that Huffman died from blunt force trauma to the back of her head. Mondragon has been listed on the Attorney General’s 10 Most Wanted list since 2024, marking him as one of the program’s longest-standing fugitives. He is described as a Hispanic man, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Born on May 12, 1975, he may also be known by the names Alfonzo Mondragon or Alfonso Hernandez. Authorities believe Mondragon may currently be in Mexico, though they caution that his appearance may have changed due to the passage of more than two decades. The Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office is collaborating with the Pryor Police Department to apprehend the suspect. A reward of up to $10,000 is available for information that directly leads to Mondragon’s arrest. The public is urged to contact the office at 405-343-8107 or via email at OKMostWanted@oag.ok.gov. Tips can be submitted anonymously. The 10 Most Wanted Program, launched by Drummond in September 2024, aims to highlight violent fugitives and enlist community help. Since its inception, 17 fugitives accused of serious crimes have been captured.
