The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking the arrest of five Nigerian nationals in connection with separate federal fraud investigations. Four suspects—Richard Izuchukwu Uzuh, Felix Osilama Okpoh, Nnamdi Orson Benson, and Micheal Olorunyomi—are wanted for their alleged roles in a multimillion-dollar business email compromise conspiracy that targeted more than 70 American companies, primarily in Omaha, Nebraska. Investigators allege the scheme caused losses exceeding $6 million through fraudulent emails and compromised identities. Uzuh, born April 29, 1986, is wanted for wire fraud and conspiracy, with a warrant issued in October 2016. Okpoh, born March 9, 1989, is accused of supplying bank accounts for fraudulent transfers and was indicted in August 2019. Benson, born March 21, 1987, is linked to romance scams and the wider conspiracy, also indicted in August 2019. Olorunyomi, born May 12, 1983, faces charges including identity theft and access device fraud related to romance scams defrauding victims of over $1 million, with a warrant issued in November 2019. The fifth suspect, Olumide Adebiyi Adediran, born October 11, 1968, is wanted for violating conditions of release in a separate case dating back to 2001 involving bank and credit card fraud in Illinois. The FBI has offered a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to Adediran’s arrest. While one associate, Abiola Ayorinde Kayode, was extradited from Ghana in December 2024, the four Nebraska suspects and Adediran remain at large. The FBI identifies Nigeria as the believed country of residence for the four cyber fraud suspects. Investigators urge the public to contact the FBI with any information regarding the whereabouts of these individuals. The cases highlight the challenges of international law enforcement cooperation in combating cross-border financial crime.
