Investigators with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office have recovered the vehicle allegedly used in the robbery and fatal shooting of 17-year-old Braylon Diaz. The incident occurred on Sunday night, May 24, 2026, in the Parkland area, where Diaz was walking with his girlfriend and was robbed of his jewelry before being shot in the chest. The suspects fled the scene in a red sedan, which was captured on surveillance video near Sheridan Avenue and Ainsworth Avenue South. Law enforcement located the suspect vehicle on Wednesday evening in the Federal Way area. The car has been seized and is currently undergoing forensic processing to gather evidence and identify those responsible. Detectives have identified multiple persons of interest connected to the case, but no individuals have been publicly named or taken into custody at this time.
