Teresita Dandan, a 64-year-old senior official of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ church, remains at large and is wanted by the FBI on federal charges. Dandan, identified as the church's international administrator, is accused of conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion, as well as sex trafficking of children. The Anti-Trafficking Bureau has renewed calls for information regarding her whereabouts, emphasizing that she is charged but not yet convicted. Dandan was one of several top overseers of the church's operations in the United States, which prosecutors allege involved fraudulent charity activities and the coercion of young women. The case is pending before the US District Court for the Central District of California, where prosecutors allege that girls and young women aged 12 to 25 were recruited as personal assistants and coerced into labor. Additionally, church members were reportedly brought to the US on fraudulent visas to solicit money for a sham charity known as the Children’s Joy Foundation, based in Glendale, California. Dandan and fellow official Helen Panilag were named in arrest warrants issued in November 2021, with wanted posters published in early 2022. While Dandan remains a fugitive, her co-defendant, church founder Apollo Quiboloy, is currently in custody in the Philippines following his arrest in September 2024. The US has requested his extradition, with the Philippine Department of Justice currently validating the request. Individuals with information about Dandan's location are urged to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit tips through tips.fbi.gov. The FBI lists additional charges against Dandan, including promotional money laundering, and alleges she helped set schedules for church personnel involved in these activities. Authorities continue to search for Dandan, who is believed to have last been associated with church operations in Los Angeles and other US cities.
