The West Conshohocken Police Department is urgently requesting the public's assistance in locating Herman Cave, a 42-year-old resident of West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Cave is currently at large and holds an active arrest warrant. Authorities have issued a critical safety warning, advising citizens not to approach him under any circumstances, as he is considered armed and dangerous. The warrant stems from a criminal complaint filed in August, which alleges that Cave is involved in serious violent offenses, specifically charges of strangulation and aggravated assault. While the legal system presumes every defendant innocent until proven guilty in court, the active status of the warrant indicates that law enforcement believes there is sufficient probable cause to detain him. The incident and the subsequent legal actions are tied to the West Conshohocken area. Residents who believe they have seen Cave or have information regarding his whereabouts are strongly encouraged to contact the West Conshohocken Police Department immediately. Tips can be reported by calling the department at (610) 940-5842 or by emailing sshaffer@westconpd.com. The police department emphasized the importance of community vigilance in this matter, noting that the suspect's potential danger to public safety necessitates immediate identification and location by authorities. This alert was published on October 27, 2026, by the West Conshohocken Police Department via social media channels to maximize reach and ensure public awareness. The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement continues to seek information that could lead to the safe apprehension of Herman Cave.
