Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies are actively searching for a suspect involved in a fatal shooting that occurred Monday night in Everett, Washington. The incident took place just before 9:15 p.m. at The Luella Apartments, located at 11802 4th Ave W. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds in the complex's parking lot. Emergency responders transported the second victim to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, where he is being treated for serious injuries. The first victim, identified as a 34-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities have stated that the suspect remains at large as of Tuesday afternoon. Investigators are working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the shooting. According to Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe, detectives do not believe the shooting was a random act of violence. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office is currently responsible for determining the positive identification of the deceased and establishing the cause and manner of death.
