Turlock police are searching for a lone male suspect wanted in connection with a bank robbery that occurred Wednesday morning. The incident took place at approximately 11:19 a.m. at the Citibank branch located at 2000 Geer Road in Turlock, California. According to police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis, the suspect entered the financial institution and handed a teller a written note demanding cash. The note also implied that the individual was armed. The teller complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of money before the suspect fled the premises. He was last observed entering a silver sedan and driving away from the scene.
Investigators have released updated surveillance images showing the suspect inside and outside the bank. The male is described as standing approximately six feet tall with a medium build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black shirt, a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, a black baseball cap featuring an emblem, and what appears to be a fake beard. Early in the investigation, an initial photograph was circulated, but authorities later confirmed it did not depict the actual perpetrator.
The Turlock Police Department is actively following up on leads and is asking anyone with information to come forward. Members of the public who recognize the suspect or have details regarding the silver sedan are urged to contact Detective James Brewer directly at 209-664-7331. Additionally, tips can be submitted anonymously through the Crime Stoppers Program by calling 521-4636. Callers who provide information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward. Police continue to emphasize that the suspect remains at large and encourage community assistance in identifying and locating the individual.
