Minneapolis police are searching for an armed suspect who remains at large following a violent incident that occurred on Sunday afternoon in downtown Minneapolis. The confrontation took place near the 900 block of Park Avenue, where the victim, a man, was dropping off a woman and a child. According to police reports, a man known to the group approached their vehicle and threatened to rob and shoot them. While the woman and child managed to flee the scene, the suspect allegedly forced the male victim to drive approximately one block away at gunpoint. Once the vehicle was moved, the suspect shot the victim. Despite sustaining gunshot wounds, the victim was able to drive himself to a nearby hospital, where he is currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. When officers arrived at the scene around 3:25 p.m., the suspect had already fled on foot, heading back toward the original address. Investigators have not yet released a physical description of the suspect, nor have they identified the individual.
