Federal agents have joined local law enforcement in the search for Larry Donnell Coleman, a 56-year-old man wanted in connection with an armed assault that occurred in north Baltimore. The incident took place on September 17, when Baltimore Police responded to a residence in the 3900 block of Park Heights Avenue following a 911 call. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a victim who reported being struck in the head with an unknown object by a man named Larry. The attack resulted in a severe injury requiring numerous stitches at a hospital. Investigators reviewed their database and identified Coleman, a resident of the area, as a person of interest. Several days after the assault, police presented a photograph of Coleman to the victim, who positively identified him as his attacker. Consequently, a warrant was issued for Coleman’s arrest. Despite the issuance of the warrant, his location has remained unknown for months, prompting the U.S. Marshals Service to enter the investigation. Al Maresca, a senior inspector with the U.S. Marshals Service, confirmed that federal resources are now assisting in the manhunt. Court records reveal a extensive criminal history for Coleman dating back to the 1990s, including prior arrests for battery, weapons violations, theft, and burglary. He was previously sentenced to prison for felony drug crimes and probation violations. In 2010, he was convicted of first-degree assault and received a 10-year sentence. Coleman is currently wanted for aggravated assault. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact the U.S. Marshals Service at 202-819-5058.
