The incident occurred Monday afternoon around 3 p.m. when the suspect approached an armored truck driver near the intersection of Maple and Emmet Streets. According to the Omaha Police Department, the individual brandished a firearm, robbed the driver of an unknown amount of money, and subsequently fled the scene on foot. Reports indicate the suspect traveled westbound along Maple Street before disappearing into the surrounding area. Investigators from the Omaha Police Department, including Lt. Kyle Steffen, are actively canvassing the neighborhood and reviewing surveillance video from the bank and adjacent businesses to reconstruct the timeline and identify potential witnesses.
