The New York Police Department is actively searching for an unidentified male suspect linked to a recent series of bank robberies across Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Described by investigators as a man of medium build featuring prominent tribal tattoos on both arms, the individual is wanted for multiple counts of robbery and attempted robbery. The alleged criminal activity unfolded over a six-day period from May 26 through June 1. During the incidents, the suspect approached tellers at three separate financial institutions located along Broadway between West 94th and 109th streets. In each encounter, he allegedly handed over a written note demanding cash while displaying an empty bag. At a Bank of America branch near West 107th Street on May 26, the employee refused to comply, prompting the suspect to flee the scene. However, at a nearby TD Bank on West 94th Street later that same afternoon, he successfully made off with $1,700. A third incident occurred on June 1 at another TD Bank near West 109th Street, where the suspect obtained $800 before escaping. Authorities confirm that no injuries were reported during any of the events. The NYPD has released a photograph of the suspect to the public and is urging anyone with information to come forward. Residents or witnesses with details regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts are encouraged to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). Spanish-speaking individuals may call 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). Tips can also be submitted anonymously through official channels. Police continue to investigate the pattern of crimes and are asking the community to remain vigilant.
