On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, between 12:45 p.m. and 1:00 p.m., the suspect was observed walking through several backyards in the Thornwood community of New Castle County. During this time, the individual peered into the windows of multiple residences before targeting a specific home on Oak View Drive. According to police reports, the suspect cut a window screen, broke the glass, and attempted to force entry into the residence. The intrusion was unsuccessful, and the suspect never entered the home before fleeing the scene. Investigators have not yet identified the person of interest, but they are reviewing surveillance footage and community tips to locate the individual.
