The individual is wanted in connection with a bank robbery. Reports indicate the suspect slid a written note to a teller demanding money, causing the employee to believe he was armed. Following the confrontation, the suspect fled the premises with an undisclosed amount of cash. The incident took place just before 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the Whitesville State Bank, situated on the 300 block of East Dupont Avenue, also known as U.S. 60, in Belle, West Virginia. After the robbery, the suspect reportedly ran toward the Kanawha River. The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office is spearheading the investigation, working alongside multiple law enforcement agencies, K-9 tracking units, and an aerial helicopter to locate the suspect. Investigators have interviewed bank staff and are actively reviewing surveillance video from the scene. Bank President Lee Milam confirmed that employees were initially traumatized but have since calmed down.
