A black male suspect, described as wearing a red shirt and pajama pants, remains the primary focus of an active multi-county manhunt in Wisconsin. He is currently wanted for extreme speeding, eluding law enforcement across several jurisdictions, and is suspected of possessing a large quantity of cash and marijuana inside his vehicle. According to law enforcement reports, the suspect may also have expressed ideations of suicide by cop prior to the incident. The high-speed pursuit began late Tuesday night when a Wisconsin State Trooper observed a Dodge Charger traveling at approximately 160 miles per hour. Rather than initiate a chase due to the extreme speeds, the trooper disseminated the information to neighboring agencies. Throughout the night, the same vehicle was tracked through Dodge, Manitowoc, and Sheboygan counties. The pursuit intensified early Wednesday morning when officers in Fond du Lac and North Fond du Lac clocked the vehicle reaching speeds up to 175 miles per hour. The chase ended near Highway 26 in Winnebago County after the Charger crashed. The suspect exited the vehicle and fled on foot, evading a K9 tracking unit and multiple responding officers. The Wisconsin State Patrol, Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, North Fond du Lac Police Department, and various county agencies are currently coordinating the search efforts. Authorities are urging the public to exercise extreme caution and to immediately contact local law enforcement or the Wisconsin State Patrol tip line if the suspect or his vehicle is spotted.
