Authorities are currently searching for a second suspect who remains at large following a multi-agency investigation in Alabama. While the identity of the individual has not been publicly released, law enforcement officials have confirmed the person is wanted in connection with arson and drug-related charges. Earlier this week, deputies and investigators from the Cullman County and Madison County Sheriff’s Offices responded to a report of a structure fire near County Road 765 in Cullman County. During a subsequent search of the property, officials located one deceased individual. The identity of the deceased person has not been released and is pending further investigation. The second suspect remains unaccounted for, prompting a statewide Be On the Lookout alert to be issued to law enforcement agencies across Alabama. Sheriff Matt Gentry of Cullman County stated that safety remains the top priority, and the department has deployed both marked and unmarked patrol vehicles to the area as a precautionary measure. Officials do not anticipate the remaining suspect returning to the scene but are maintaining an increased presence to ensure public safety. Investigators from both counties continue to cooperate closely as the search operation proceeds. Anyone who may have seen the suspect or possesses information regarding their current location is asked to contact the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office immediately at 256-734-0343.
