Keith Capron, a man wanted for attempted murder, is at-large following an incident in the Coulterville area of Mariposa County on Sunday night. Authorities report Capron allegedly shot a victim in the head twice with a handgun. He is believed to still be armed with the weapon used in the attack. Capron, originally from Vermont, was last seen in the 5800 block of Schilling Road and fled the scene in a stolen blue 2008 Toyota Yaris with California license plate 8PWS917. Investigators note he has only recently been observed in the Coulterville area. The Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office urges the public to avoid contact with Capron and to call 911 immediately with any information about his whereabouts.
