A 6-year-old child has been located safe and unharmed following a kidnapping incident in Lynnwood, Washington, according to the Washington State Patrol. The child was recovered early Tuesday morning after being taken by a 32-year-old suspect, who remains at large. The suspect is identified as the ex-boyfriend of the child’s mother, a 29-year-old woman who was injured during the abduction. Authorities report that the woman was thrown from a vehicle near 148th Street S.W. in Lynnwood around 9:55 p.m. on Monday. She sustained significant head and facial injuries and was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center. The suspect fled the scene in the victim’s 2010 silver Ford Fusion, bearing Washington license plate CVF8854, with the child inside. An Amber Alert was issued for the disappearance, which investigators deemed a credible threat to the child's health and safety. The alert was canceled after a family friend residing in Shoreline reported finding the child in their front yard around 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The child has been reunited with the mother and is reported to have no injuries. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office has stated that the suspect is wanted for multiple felony domestic violence crimes. Law enforcement agencies, including the King County Sheriff’s Office and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, are continuing the search for the suspect. The public is urged to call 911 immediately if they see the suspect or the described vehicle. Deputies have issued a strict warning for citizens not to approach the suspect under any circumstances. This case remains an active investigation with the suspect still outstanding.
