Kansas City, Missouri, police are searching for 22-year-old Oscar Sanchez-Munoz, who is wanted in connection with a series of shootings that occurred Tuesday night. The suspect is accused of firing into vehicles traveling eastbound on various roadways, including Interstate 670 and Interstate 70, resulting in five victims. Four individuals were taken to hospitals with injuries ranging from non-life-threatening to life-threatening, while a fifth victim, a juvenile, remains stable. Sanchez-Munoz is also wanted in Wyandotte County on an arrest warrant for aggravated assault with a $100,000 bond. The vehicle believed to be used in the shootings was located at a residence on the 700 block of Brookside Avenue in Independence. A standoff ensued at the property on Wednesday morning, during which the house caught fire and was significantly damaged. Tragically, five dogs inside the home perished in the blaze. Kansas City Police have taken over the scene, which remains active as of noon Wednesday. Detectives are investigating whether these incidents are connected to a fatal shooting and car crash that occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Truman Road and Bennington.
