The Federal Bureau of Investigation has announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Hollis C. Vanleer Jr., a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery at the Isle of Capri Casino in Boonville, Missouri. Vanleer, who is described as approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall with black hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo on his left hand, is currently at large. Authorities allege that on March 25, Vanleer and an accomplice, both armed and masked, entered the casino and proceeded to the vault area. The suspects reportedly jumped over the cage desk into a restricted zone, stole a significant amount of cash from a drawer, placed the money in a duffel bag, and fled the scene. Cooper County prosecutors formally charged Vanleer on April 14 with first-degree robbery, armed criminal action, and first-degree assault, resulting in the issuance of an arrest warrant. While another suspect has been charged in Missouri, Vanleer remains the primary focus of the manhunt. Federal investigators believe Vanleer may have ties to Chicago and Normal, Illinois. The FBI’s Kansas City Field Office is coordinating with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Cooper County Sheriff's Office to locate the suspect.
